Product Description
Calcium hydroxide (traditionally called slaked lime) is aninorgnic compound with the chemical formula Ca(OH)2. It is a colorless crystal or white powder and is produced when quicklime(calcium oxide) is mixed with water. Annually, approximately 125 million tons of calcium hydroxide are produced worldwide.
Calcium hydroxide has many names including hydrated lime, caustic lime, builders' lime, slaked lime, cal, and pickling lime. Calcium hydroxide is used in many applications, including food preparation, where it has been identified as E526. Limewater, also called milk of lime, is the common name for a saturated solution of calcium hydroxide.

Product Application
Calcium hydroxide is commonly used to prepare lime martar.
One significant application of calcium hydroxide is as a flocuulant, in water and sewage treatment. It forms a fluffy charged solid that aids in the removal of smaller particles from water, resulting in a clearer product.
Another large application is in the paper industry, where it is an intermediate in the reaction in the production of sodium hydroxide.
In orchard crops, calcium hydroxide is used as a fungicide.
Calcium hydroxide is used in dentistry, primarily in the specialty of endodontics due to its antibacterial properties and induction of hard-tissue deposition.
Packaging and Storage
Packaging
Small packaging: 25kg/ bag, 50kg/ bag (commonly used are kraft paper bags or PE inner-lined woven bags).
Large packaging: 500kg per bag, 1 ton per bag (ton bag, FIBC container bag).
Food grade: It may be available in 10kg or 20kg bags, with a moisture-proof inner layer.
25kg/ bag, 50kg/ bag, 500kg/ bag, 1 ton/bag. A 20-foot container can hold 20-22 tons.
Storage Method
Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse. The optimal humidity inside the warehouse should not exceed 85%. It is necessary to seal the packaging properly to avoid moisture absorption. It should be stored separately from flammable materials, acids, etc., and avoid mixing storage. The storage area should be equipped with suitable materials to accommodate leaked materials.
